Merritt and Gavin’s engagement session was perfect! We took photos at the State Botanical Gardens of Georgia in Athens. We walked around and explored the gardens during this session. It was absolutely stunning in August with all the greenery and flowers. Merritt and Gavin both graduated from the University of Georgia, so the taking their engagement photos at the ‘Botans’ just felt right. 

This photoshoot was such a fun and playful peek into Merritt and Gavin’s relationship. I’ve had the honor of seeing their relationship grow over the past year with Merritt being my roommate and I have to say: these two are just so sweet! I love seeing how they interact because you can see how much they love each other radiating around <3

This engagement session was so easy and fun because they trusted my vision and creativity. There were lots of “okay this might seem weird but trust me” and they rolled with it and their photos turned out beautifully because of it. We did lots of walking around the gardens and stopping along the way to take photos. The fun part about the Athens Botanical Gardens is that there is always something new to see — it’s like a totally different location every season of the year!

They get married in December at The Engine Room in Monroe, Georgia. LET’S GET YALL MARRIED!!!!
